Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Hearing Health Services, the Senior Clinical Audiologist performs current and comprehensive diagnostic procedures for patients with auditory disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The position also involves an active role in the management of universal newborn hearing screening services and involvement in the Saskatchewan Cochlear Implant Program. The senior clinical audiologist also assumes administrative, teaching and research duties as time permits. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience

- Experience in auditory processing and cochlear implant assessment/rehab required
- 2+yrs clinical exp in diagnosing audiology:behavioral,objective&vestibular; evals

Education

- Master of Science in Audiology (Audiology(MSc))

- Problem solving skills

Knowledge and Abilities

- Knowledge of neurotology, cochlear implants, BAHDs, & standards of care
- Ability to teach staff and patients/residents/clients/families
- Knowledge in current research methods
- Ability to operate related equipment & carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
- Ability to apply evidence-based decision making




- Has demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop others
- Ability to plan, organize & prioritize work in collaboration with others
- Ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
