Associate – Commercial Real Estate

We are BordenLadnerGervais LLP (BLG), Canada’s leading law firm. The Toronto office seeks an associate to support a high‑profile, agile Commercial Real Estate group that manages multi‑million‑dollar transactions, complex acquisitions, disposals, leasing, mixed‑use development and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

- Support drafting and negotiation of transactional documents, including financing, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and construction agreements.
- Assist in due diligence, transaction structuring and post‑transaction monitoring for mixed‑use development and infrastructure projects.
- Advise clients on complex real‑estate matters across public and private sectors.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients and junior lawyers, providing mentoring and training support.

Qualifications

- Law degree and admission to practice in Canada.
- 2–4years of experience in commercial real‑estate transactions, including finance,



acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, mixed‑use development, infrastructure and construction contracts.
- Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Team‑player mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Salary

Expected salary range is $155,000–$200,000, depending on experience, location and other factors.
