Lead the accounting team at OEG Sports & Entertainment as the Director of Accounting. Oversee full cycle accounting for the Edmonton Oilers and other affiliated entities while ensuring accuracy and timely financial reporting.
As a key member reporting to the Vice President, Accounting, this role demands expertise in IFRS and advanced financial management. You'll lead several critical processes and mentor team members while enhancing overall efficiency in accounting operations. Your strategic oversight will ensure OEG's compliance and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly and quarterly financial close procedures
• Prepare and review monthly financial statement packages
• Oversee daily accounting processes including reconciliation




• Perform balance sheet reviews and variance commentary
• Train and mentor the accounting team
Requirements:
• Chartered Qualified Accounting (CPA) designation required
• Eight years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum three years in a management role
• Proficient in financial reporting and analysis
• Experience with IFRS is an asset
