This role involves preparing technical procedures for inspections of lifting and material handling equipment, as well as coordinating CRN applications.Key Inspection AreasForklift inspectionsAerial/vertical mast manlift inspectionsScissor lift inspectionsBoom crane inspectionsTower crane inspectionsOverhead traveling crane inspectionsMust-Have RequirementOperate as an independent consultant with a registered corporationProven experience with inspection procedure development and regulatory documentationMinimum of five (5) years of relevant experienceValid safety certifications: H2S Alive, Fall Protection, and Confined SpaceLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or equivalent credentialsCore ResponsibilitiesDevelop and write clear, code-compliant inspection procedures for lifting and material handling equipment (as listed above)Review applicable standards, regulations,
and manufacturer specifications to ensure procedure accuracyPrepare and submit complete CRN applications with supporting documentationCoordinate with internal teams and clients to gather technical data as neededEnsure procedures meet all safety and compliance requirementsWork closely with Document Control to apply proper document numbering and manage revision controlMaintain version control and organized documentation recordsSkills and AssetsStrong technical writing and documentation skillsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with applicable CSA, ASME, and provincial safety codes is a plusDemonstrated ability to work as an independent consultant with a registered corporationStrong communication and project-management abilitiesLocation and EligibilityWe are looking for an independent consultant with a registered corporation to join our team.
