Job Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture, requirements development, and subsystem design.
- Develop technical specifications for AC/DC EV charging systems.
- Define and manage system requirements, verification plans, and validation testing.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams throughout product development.
- Create key systems engineering documentation including requirements, functional specifications, DVT plans, and DFMEA.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SAE J1772, IEC 61851, ISO 15118, OCPP, UL, and CSA.
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, and product certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, Control Systems, or Engineering Physics.
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in product development.
- Experience with power electronics, power conversion, or power systems.
- Background in EV charging,
renewable energy, solar, energy storage, or microgrids.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering methodologies (V-Model), requirements management, and verification & validation.
- Experience developing test plans, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and regulatory standards (UL, CSA, NEC/NFPA, SAE, OCPP).
Preferred Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and systems-level problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and present to stakeholders.
Travel
- Approximately 10% domestic and international travel.
