Job Overview

The electrical group is a dynamic team that combines engineering, design, and leadership skills to support clients in the mineral processing industry.

Responsibilites

- Perform and check electrical calculations and design using computer‑aided and manual techniques.
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications and technical bid evaluations for items such as power transformers, switchgear, starter motors, motor control centres, variable‑frequency drives, large synchronous and induction motors, electrowinning rectifiers, and power‑factor correction capacitors.
- Check and review vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
- Assist the Lead Engineer with schedule, estimate, material forecasting, progress reporting, meetings, and procurement activities.
- Perform self‑check of completed work and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Coordinate with project/client/field, procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.

Basic Job Requirements

- Accredited four‑year degree or global equivalent in engineering and four (4) years of work‑related experience. Professional certification or registration may be required.




- Four to ten years of experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
- Registered professional engineer in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Mineral processing experience preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and governing regulations.
- Proven record of increasing responsibility and problem‑solving.
- Self‑starter who can work independently.
- Experience in mining projects is an asset.

Advantages & Compensation

Competitive salary range: $80,500.00 - $150,500.00, based on experience and location.
