About Preszler Injury Lawyers: Preszler Injury Lawyers was established in 1959 by its founder, Robert P. Preszler. For over 60 years, Preszler Injury Lawyers has restricted its practice to claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls, product liability, sexual assault, wrongful dismissal, accident advantages, disability claims and medical malpractice. Position Overview: We are currently seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our team as Legal Assistants. As a Legal Assistant at Preszler Injury Lawyers, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our Lawyers and working collaboratively with our Paralegals, and Accident Benefits staff.

Responsibilities:

- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the drafting of pleadings, affidavits, and court documents.
- Utilize Actionstep (Soluno) for docketing and tracking all assigned tasks.
- Handle correspondence under the direction of the assigned lawyer.
- Schedule discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, etc.




- Maintain the lawyer's calendar and file list.
- Liaise with the Accident Benefit’s Department.
- Use MedChart to obtain necessary medical documentation.
- Ensure court filings are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle the service of originating processes.
- Requisition cheques for payment of various invoices.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant is required.
- Previous experience in Personal Injury is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with our Legal software (Filevine, Actionstep (Soluno), Medchart) is an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of Ontario legal procedures and documentation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with three required in-office days per week. We are filling one vacancy.
