Join Brock University as the Information Security Director, overseeing vital cybersecurity strategies and risk management at the institutional level. This role is pivotal in shaping secure digital environments.
As a key member of the administrative leadership, you will report directly to the Associate Vice-President of Information Technology Services. The Information Security Director will enhance governance frameworks, establish performance measures, and innovatively manage emerging cybersecurity threats. This role also focuses on building relationships with academic and administrative leaders to effectively safeguard the University’s information resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise-level information security and technology risk initiatives
• Define and direct security governance frameworks and strategic roadmaps
• Manage identity and access governance in aligned systems
• Oversee security assessment and vulnerability management programs
• Provide incident response leadership and training initiatives
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in cybersecurity or related field
• Proven leadership in cybersecurity and technology risk
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FIPPA
• Experience in security operations and incident management
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
