This role ensures the safe, accurate, and timely fabrication of mechanical assemblies while fostering the growth of prefabrication assemblers and plumbing apprentices.Core Responsibilities:Plan, schedule, and assign work to meet production targets and project deadlinesManage time entry for shop employees to ensure accurate recording of labor hours and job costingMonitor output for compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standardsCreate, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all workstations and shop safety processesCoordinate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and procurement to align shop activities with operational requirementsLead and supervise a team of welders, pipefitters, assemblers, and laborersProvide training, coaching, and mentorship to support the development of apprentices and trade staffConduct regular performance evaluations and set clear expectations for productivity, quality, and safetyFoster a positive, team-focused work environmentManage the inventory, organization, maintenance, and safe operation of all shop tools and equipment, including inspections and replacement proceduresEnsure proper tool usage and adherence to established protocolsInspect completed assemblies and subassemblies to verify accuracy, completeness,
