Our client is currently seeking a qualified Enterprise Business Architect to join their team onsite in Ottawa, ON.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Developing the Business Architecture strategies aligned with the Enterprise vision
- Collaborating with stakeholders to capture business needs and justify Enterprise investments
- Aiding in the maturing of EA governance including policies, procedures, and organizational structures
- Developing business capabilities, process models, metrics and value streams
- Providing leadership and guidance to EA, stakeholders and practitioners
- Identify and guide people, processes and technology requirements to operationalize the operating models
- Conduct an assessment of relevant current business architecture, processes and performance as it relates to the assigned projects
- Review existing documentation that may include, road maps, project descriptions, system documentation, business and functional requirements, “as-is" business processes and architecture documents
- Document the “as-is” business architecture to be used as a baseline and to identify root-cause of critical business issues
- Confirm the scope and requirement of the business architecture practice
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the context of the enterprise
- Determine framework and approach to document the business architecture
- Define and document the architectural views identified for future state
- Ensure consistency and integration with the organizations and government architectures, strategic goals and business strategies
- Identify appropriate tools and techniques to be used for modelling and analysis
- Evaluate the feasibility of the architecture and technologies related to a recent business change, assist in the prioritization and design of improvements from an architectural perspective
- Capture the tactical and strategic business goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance
- Describe the primary business functions of the assigned business unit in the context of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions
- Enumerate, analyze, catalogue and suggest improvements to the strategic, core and support processes of the business unit, as needed, to support strategic and operational goals
- Enumerate, analyze and suggest improvements to the structural relationships of the business. This requires the creation and maintenance of an ongoing model of roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the interplay between these units in various business processes, materials, people, and systems
- Determine the architectural artefacts required to be created, maintained and stored aligning business architecture artefacts with IT architecture artefacts
- Perform business analysis of functional requirements to identify information, processes,



and procedures in order to ensure system and manual processes are documented in an integrated manner
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies associated with the existing or proposed architecture and technologies
- Conduct gap analysis on business processes and recommend action plans
- Advising senior management on business architecture methods and practice, coaching and mentoring staff and making recommendations on changes to improve operational performance
- Provide expert advice in developing and integrating processes and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies and address gaps
- Transfer functional and technical knowledge to the project team and client staff through individual and group training, coaching, demonstrations, written instructions and documents on an ongoing basis throughout the life of the project

Skills And Qualifications

- University undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT
- Certifications such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, or equivalent
- A minimum of ten years’ experience leading enterprise-wide architecture strategy, governance, and roadmap development
- A minimum of ten years’ experience designing integrated solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business needs
- A minimum of ten years’ experience mapping business capabilities and processes to strategic objectives and IT investments
- Minimum of ten years’ experience working across business and IT domains, bridging strategy and execution
- Minimum of ten years’ experience leading or contributing to enterprise transformation initiatives, including digital transformation, operating model redesign, or strategic alignment

Compétences Et Qualifications

Échelle Salariale

Le taux pour ce poste se situe entre 75,00$ et 90,00$ l'heure, à moins que le salaire minimum local ne soit plus élevé.
