The Opportunity

Senior Manager – Cloud Engineering

This senior‐level role leads the design and delivery of integrated cloud solutions that align business strategy with modern technology platforms. It sits at the intersection of technology, business transformation, and client engagement, guiding organizations in leveraging cloud and AI to drive innovation, scale operations, and unlock new value while leading multidisciplinary teams across complex transformation programs.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior clients and a leader within the firm, bridging business objectives with technology execution.

Client & Business Leadership

- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a strategic advisor on cloud and AI‑enabled transformation
- Contribute to business development, including shaping proposals, responding to RFPs, and driving pipeline growth
- Identify opportunities to expand engagements by connecting client business priorities with cutting-edge cloud solutions

Strategy & Architecture Leadership

- Define enterprise cloud strategies, operating models, and roadmaps aligned to client business objectives
- Lead the development of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments
- Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities into cloud solutions to enhance decision‑making, automation, and customer experience
- Establish cloud governance, standards, and architecture principles at an organizational level

Delivery Oversight & Execution

- Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of cloud transformation programs, ensuring quality, timelines, and financial performance
- Guide technical teams and solution architects without requiring day‑to‑day hands‑on development
- Ensure alignment between architecture design and implementation across multiple workstreams




- Manage key risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead and mentor high‑performing teams across cloud engineering, architecture, and DevOps disciplines
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Contribute to the development of thought leadership, assets, and accelerators, particularly in cloud and AI domains

Skills & Attributes for Success

- Strong ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and vice versa
- Executive‑level communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proven experience leading large‑scale cloud transformation programs
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), architecture patterns, and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of AI/ML capabilities and their application within cloud ecosystems
- Experience working in or with consulting environments and complex client organizations
- Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and engagement management

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in cloud engineering, architecture, or technology consulting
- Demonstrated track record delivering complex cloud or digital transformation programs
- Experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders
- Exposure to AI/ML‑enabled solutions or data‑driven transformation initiatives




- Cloud certifications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also valued)
- Ability to travel within Canada up to 40% of the time, depending on client assignments

Industry Knowledge

- Demonstrated depth in one or more industries, translating sector‑specific needs into practical cloud and AI‑enabled solutions
- Experience delivering technology transformation in Financial Services (e.g., banking, insurance, capital markets), including security, risk, resiliency, and regulatory considerations is an asset
- Experience working with Government / Public Sector organizations, including privacy, data residency, procurement, and stakeholder management in complex environments is an asset
- Ability to develop industry‑relevant points of view and contribute to proposals by connecting cloud architecture decisions to business outcomes and operating constraints

Salary Ranges

Toronto: $148,000 to $222,500
