At MapsPeople, we seek an experienced Senior Android Developer to contribute to our mobile platform, focusing on building and evolving SDKs. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, cohesive mobile initiatives that stand out in real-world applications. This role involves architecture, coding, and influencing engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement new features in our existing Android SDK
• Maintain and improve SDK stability and performance
• Migrate legacy Java code to contemporary Kotlin




• Build binding layers for Flutter and React Native
• Optimize map rendering using Mapbox and Google Maps
Requirements:
• 8-10 years of Android development experience
• Proficient in Kotlin and Java, with SDK development
• Strong understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and structured concurrency
• Hands-on experience in migrating codebases to Kotlin
• Familiarity with Dart or TypeScript is a plus
