Vacancies: One (01). Located at Regional Headquarters, Whitby, Ontario.
Reporting to the Manager of IT PMO and Innovation in the Corporate Services Department - Information Technology (CS IT), the Supervisor, Digital Transformation will oversee the daily operations of application and web development, Microsoft platforms, AI and digital transformation initiatives, and related programming and technology evaluation activities. The incumbent will:
- Manage and support the day-to-day delivery of digital products and services by guiding cross-functional teams (Developers and Business Analysts) through Agile practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous delivery.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work to align with digital transformation objectives, customer value, and business outcomes, while promoting iterative development and rapid feedback loops.
- Ensure modern development practices are embedded, including secure-by-design, testing automation, documentation, estimation, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
- Provide subject matter expertise for IT projects and technical expertise, quality assurance and advice for design, support, and maintenance of software systems
- Partner with business units to define and refine requirements, ensuring applications meet performance, usability, and business outcome objectives.
- Collaborate with departments to streamline and enhance processes through innovation and continuous improvement aligned to strategic goals.
- See through the delivery of recent digital solutions, applications, and process improvements that enable operational efficiency and value realization.
- Establish and promote standardized development and support practices to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Analyze and optimize integration between application components and data models to improve performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Provide leadership to the Digital Transformation team and to the CSIT division
- Lead workshops, demonstrations, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities to support adoption of digital solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.)
The successful candidate will possess:
- A University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Progressive supervisory/leadership experience in software/product development
- Progressive experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivery of software products
- Experience with Microsoft platforms and up-to-date development technologies, with a strong foundation in SDLC and best practices.
- Strong leadership, project management, time management and problem-solving skills
- The ability to align team objectives with organization equity goals and assesses long term inclusion impacts.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and understand security/privacy/legal requirements
- Understanding of legislation such as MFIPPA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA
- A commitment to maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of IT industry trends
Management & Exempt Salary Grade 7
- Salary: $120,882 to $151,102 per annum
