In this full-time position, you will report to the Director of Engineering. Your role includes managing research related to engineered barrier systems and used fuel. Collaboration with national and international organizations, as well as Indigenous communities, is integral to NWMO’s mission in developing research programs that align with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee technical research and development programs
• Coordinate national and international R&D; opportunities




• Build partnerships with Canadian research organizations
• Manage regulatory documents to support research strategy
• Lead safety culture and health initiatives across teams
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in engineering or science
• 8-10 years of relevant research experience
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with deep geological repository projects
