Campus Coordinator, Part Time Brain Power Enrichment Programs

About Brain Power Enrichment Programs

Did you know that roughly 60% of high potential students underachieve relative to what they're capable of, not because they lack ability, but because they aren't being challenged (Reis & McCoach, 2000). Brain Power was built to close that gap. For over 30 years, we've run enrichment programs in Math and Problem Solving, Language Arts, and Public Speaking, delivered two to three grades above standard by PhD level and expert educators. We're not a tutoring center and we're not a worksheet factory. Our classes are built around flexible thinking, real mentorship, and small groups where students are known by name, not just by grade. Today we operate across 16 campuses in Canada and the US, in partnership with schools like Nord Anglia Education.

None of that happens without the people who run our campuses day to day. That's where you come in. We're hiring Campus Coordinators across eight locations. Find the campus and schedule that fits, then read on, the role itself is the same everywhere. Classes typically run for 34 weeks between September and June, weekday evenings and weekend day hours (each campus has it's own schedule)

- Markham: Tuesday and Saturday, 12 hours per week, at YSpace
- Richmond Hill: Monday and Tuesday, 10 hours per week, at Holy Trinity School
- Aurora: Thursday, 5 hours per week, at St. Anne School
- North Toronto: Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 17 hours per week, at Prosserman JCC
- Downtown Toronto: Monday and Thursday, 10 hours per week, at Miles Nadal JCC
- Etobicoke: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, 17 hours per week, at Kingsway College School
- Mississauga: Tuesday and Wednesday, 6 hours per week, at Toronto French School
- Oakville: Monday, Tuesday,

Wednesday, and Saturday, 21 hours per week, at Appleby College

Please indicate which campus (or campuses) you're applying for in your application.

Every campus needs someone who notices things. The parent who looks a little lost at pickup. The instructor running five minutes late. The kid who lights up when you remember their name from last week. That's the Campus Coordinator!

You're the first face families see when they walk in and the last one checking the lights are off. You run the logistics that let learning happen (attendance, room setup, registrations) so instructors can focus on teaching and students can focus on thinking.

What you'll actually do:

Campus operations

- Open and close the campus, and set up classrooms (furniture, AV, technology, supplies)
- Complete attendance within the first 30 minutes of class and keep accurate arrival and departure logs
- Check each classroom before you leave (we operate at some of the most beautiful learning spaces in the world and its very important that we honour the relationship we have with our partner schools)
- Manage keys, fobs, wifi codes, and alarm codes
- Keep campus inventory stocked through regular requisitions, so nobody's making a last minute supply run

Academic support

- Make sure on-site faculty have what they need (curriculum materials, teacher guides, workbooks)

- Welcome substitute teachers and get them set up with everything they need
- Support the Academic Head with day to day coordination, and liaise with Admissions on campus tours

Family and faculty experience

- Greet students and families by name (yes, actually by name)
- Welcome new and make-up students, walk them to class, and introduce them to their instructor
- Step in when an instructor runs late, using activities that don't require subject expertise
- Walk the campus every 45 minutes to catch anything that needs attention, and know when to bring in an Academic Head
- Answer parent and student questions in office

Assessments and enrollment

- Book assessments and register students directly in the system
- Schedule make up classes and support families using the family portal

Events and community

- At your option, represent Brain Power at community events throughout the year
- Share the "Love Notes" (and the constructive ones) that come in from families

Safety and compliance

- Protect student information in line with privacy laws and Brain Power policy
- Know the location of the first aid kit and epi-pens, and keep them stocked
- Follow fire and evacuation procedures, and know the assembly point
- Stay on-site for the full duration the campus is operating, including evening slots

Who does well in this role:

- Someone who's organized without being rigid about it
- Available during the specific days and hours listed for the campus you're applying to
- Genuinely likes people, including the ones having a rough day
- Someone who is equally happy taking attendance, helping to make a marshmelow tower, or jam with a teen applying to University!
