Chief Estimator

We are looking for a Chief Estimator at PME Inc. (part of the EllisDon group), with a strong background in construction estimates for varied project types and delivery methods.

- Experience in creating and monitoring construction estimates across a variety of project types and delivery methods, including lump sum, unit rate, time and material construction management and design build with the ability to lead a team in the preparation of estimates for major projects
- Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc.
- Effectively determine the bid strategies required for the company to be successful as well as plan and coordinate and supervise large projects.
- Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
- Manage people and look after the bids.

Is this the right role for you?

- Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Advanced management or technical training preferred.
- Experience in estimating earthworks, underground, and concrete projects in public and industrial settings.
- Extensive (10 or more years)



experience in similar facility construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills essential.
- This role is located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
