OPSEU Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist x2

Status: Regular Part Time

Department: Pulmonary Function Lab

Program: Respiratory Services

Schedule: Days and Evenings – 8 and 12 Hour Shifts (Subject to Change)

Location: Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Ajax-Pickering

Wage: $38.350 - $53.280 per hour

Responsibilities

- Provide respiratory care under the direction of the Manager, Critical Care & Respiratory Services.
- Document all aspects of care accurately.
- Perform diagnostic testing and maintain equipment.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuing education.
- Maintain competence and professionalism in inter‑disciplinary teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Respiratory Therapy.
- Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapy of Ontario.
- Current B.C.L.S. and Ontario Heart Foundation Standards.
- Strong motivation, independent and team orientation.
- Proven problem‑solving, teaching, organizational, communication, and judgment skills.
- At least some clinical experience (asset).




- Advanced educational preparation (asset).
- Preferred PALS and ACLS certifications.
- Maintained satisfactory performance record.

Conditions of Employment

The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
