Software Development Analyst (14 Month Contract)
Location: New Westminster, BC / Hybrid

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Analyst to support the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise system integrations for a large-scale application modernization initiative.
This is a 14-month contract with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, architects, cybersecurity, infrastructure, analytics, and development teams to deliver secure and reliable integration solutions.
The successful candidate may also support other full lifecycle technology projects based on business priorities and project requirements.
Project Overview
This project will replace an end-of-life operational application with a modern solution built on the Microsoft Power Platform.
The new application will serve as the central system for managing operational events and will integrate with multiple enterprise systems to support business operations, reporting, and analytics.

- Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
- Supervisory Monitoring and Control (SMC)
- Health & Safety Management Systems
- Power BI
- Microsoft Azure Services
- Other enterprise operational and reporting systems
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Analysis & Design
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand integration requirements.
- Analyze source and target systems, interfaces, business processes, and data structures.
- Design integration solutions and interface specifications.
- Define data mappings, transformation rules, and integration workflows.
- Integration Development & Implementation
- Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and integration components.
- Configure and support REST, SOAP, event-driven, and file-based integrations.
- Build integration solutions using approved technologies and development standards.
- Develop Azure-hosted integration services and middleware components where required.
- Integration Testing & Support
- Develop and execute integration testing.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, data synchronization problems, and interface failures.
- Monitor and support integrations during implementation and post-deployment.
- Integration Governance & Security
- Ensure integrations comply with architecture, security, and integration standards.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and API governance practices.
- Participate in technical reviews and architecture assessments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise application integrations.
- Experience designing and developing:
- REST APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- System-to-system integrations
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, messaging platforms, and secure file transfers.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
- Power Apps
- Dataverse
- Power Automate
- Experience with Microsoft Azure integration technologies, including:
- Azure Functions
- Azure API Management
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Event Grid
- Experience with:
- SQL Server
- T-SQL
- Data mapping
- Data transformation
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using:
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- SAML
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience implementing secure integrations using:
- HTTPS
- TLS encryption
- Certificates
- SFTP
- PGP encryption
- Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Experience troubleshooting integration issues, data synchronization challenges, and API performance.
- Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise integration patterns
- API governance
- Application security
- Cloud-based integration architecture
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise asset management, operational systems, transportation systems, or public sector organizations.
- Experience supporting enterprise application modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams in complex enterprise environments.
