Our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to join their growing team in Burnaby, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design power distribution systems.
- Perform arc flash studies and electrical system analysis.
- Design medium and low voltage MCCs and switchgear.
- Prepare equipment specifications, schematics, datasheets, and construction work packages.
- Provide field support during testing, commissioning, and system start-up.
- Support procurement activities, including vendor document reviews and bid evaluations.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver successful engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC.
- Minimum 7 years of consulting engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection and control systems, and grounding design.
- Experience with 600V+ electrical systems.
- Proficiency in single-line diagrams and load calculations.
- Experience specifying and procuring LV/MV equipment and switchgear.
- Hands‑on experience with ETAP, including short circuit and arc flash studies.
- Strong understanding and application of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing assigned project scopes.
