AltaML is looking for a part time Legal Director to serve as the key legal advisor while managing contract negotiations and corporate governance obligations. This fractional role allows legal experts to impact the company meaningfully without a full-time commitment, with responsibilities that may evolve as needs change. Engage directly with CFO and board members as a strategic partner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and manage a variety of commercial agreements
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards
• Coordinate board agendas and investor relations materials




• Lead legal support for M&A; and strategic partnerships
• Supervise outside counsel to optimize legal resources
Requirements:
• J.D. with Law Society of Alberta good standing
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in corporate law
• Proven corporate governance and cap table knowledge
• Familiarity with SaaS or tech contracts
• Strong ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
