Job Description

This is a hybrid role; the selected candidate will work a minimum of 2 days per week from HPE office in St. Laurent. We are the core UI team behind Aruba Central, a flagship platform for managing HPE Networking infrastructure. The product brings the self-driving network vision to life and helps maintain HPE Networking as an industry leader.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to the UI architecture and development of complex cloud products using TypeScript and React (or equivalent frameworks), and take ownership of specific domains when needed.
- Translate product and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and scalable front-end components and application flows.
- Define and enforce front-end engineering standards, including code quality, accessibility, performance, and design consistency.
- Support and improve the quality strategy for the UI layer by implementing and maintaining robust automated tests (unit and end-to-end), including Jest and Cypress.
- Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration, reliable deployment, and observability of frontend services.
- Use AI-assisted coding effectively to accelerate delivery while validating output quality and preventing hallucinated or low-quality code.
- Review technical designs and pull requests, providing actionable feedback to reduce risk and improve product quality.
- Mentor and support less-experienced developers, and represent the UI engineering team in technical discussions when owning a specific topic or initiative.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and adopting relevant tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.

Education And Experience Required

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically, 7-10+ years’ experience.

Knowledge And Skills

- Strong programming skills in Typescript
- Knowledge of React or another high level web framework (Angular, Vue.js…)
- AI-assisted coding.



You use AI as an advanced tool and you can detect slop or hallucination.
- Atlassian Quality-driven. Cypress, Jest(UT)
- Alastian tools (Jira, BitBucket) or Github is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals at senior management levels. French understanding a plus.

Développeur UI senior

Il s'agit d'un poste hybride : le candidat retenu travaillera au minimum 2 jours par semaine au bureau HPE de Saint-Laurent. Nous sommes l’équipe UI principale derrière Aruba Central, une plateforme phare pour la gestion de l’infrastructure d’HPE Networking. Le produit concrétise la vision du réseau autonome et contribue à maintenir HPE Networking comme leader de l’industrie.

Responsabilités (French)

- Contribuer à l’architecture UI et au développement de produits infonuagiques complexes en TypeScript et React (ou un cadre équivalent), et prendre en charge des domaines précis au besoin.
- Transformer les exigences produit et techniques en composants front-end clairs, maintenables et évolutifs, ainsi qu’en parcours applicatifs cohérents.
- Définir et appliquer des standards d’ingénierie front-end, incluant la qualité du code, l’accessibilité, la performance et la cohérence du design.
- Soutenir et faire évoluer la stratégie de qualité de la couche UI enimplémentant et en maintenant des tests automatisés robustes (unitaires et bout en bout), notamment avec Jest et Cypress.
- Collaborer avec les équipes backend, DevOps et plateforme afin d’assurer une intégration fluide, des déploiements fiables et une bonne observabilité des services front-end.
- Utiliser efficacement le codage assisté par IA pour accélérer la livraison, tout en validant rigoureusement la qualité des résultats et en évitant les hallucinations ou le code de faible qualité.
- Réviser les conceptions techniques et les demandes de fusion (pull requests), en fournissant une rétroaction concrète pour réduire les risques et améliorer la qualité du produit.
- Mentorer et soutenir les développeurs moins expérimentés, et représenter l’équipe UI dans les discussions techniques lorsqu’un sujet ou une initiative est sous votre responsabilité.




- Contribuer à l’amélioration continue en identifiant et en adoptant des outils, cadres et pratiques d’ingénierie pertinentes.

Formation Et Expérience Requises

- Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en informatique, génie, systèmes d’information ou dans une discipline quantitative connexe.
- Habituellement, 7 à 10+ années d’expérience.

Connaissances Et Compétences

- Solides compétences en programmation TypeScript
- Connaissance de React ou d’un autre cadre web de haut niveau (Angular, Vue.js…)
- Codage assisté par IA : vous utilisez l’IA comme un outil avancé et vous êtes en mesure de détecter le code approximatif ou halluciné.
- Orientation qualité : Cypress, Jest (tests unitaires)
- Outils Atlassian (Jira, Bitbucket) ou GitHub : un atout
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication écrite et verbale.
- Capacité à communiquer efficacement des architectures produit et des propositions de conception à des niveaux de direction senior.

Salary Range (Canada)

The expected salary/wage range for this position is CAD 97,600 - 181,000 per year. Variable incentives may also be offered.
