We are looking for a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist that can take a recent initiative from strategy to implementation.

Description

- Providesadviceonthetestingstrategy,testplans,theselectionoftestingtools,andtheidentificationofresourcesrequiredfortestingPlansandorganizestestingeffortsforlargesystemsinGraphicalUserInterface(GUI)andnon-GraphicalUserInterface(GUI)environments,includingtheexecutionofsystemsintegrationtests,specializedtests,anduseracceptancetesting(e.g.,stresstests)

- TheQualityAssuranceSpecialistisresponsibleforthedevelopmentoftestplans,testscriptsandtestcasesandexecutingtheseagainstthevariouscomponents.

- ThetesterwillworkwiththetestingleadandITleadofeachprojectaswellastheprojectteammembersintheanalysis,design,development,implementationandongoingsupportoftherequiredsystems

- GeneralSkills:Experienceinplanning,organizingandimplementingtestingeffortsatthespecifiedexperiencelevel

- Knowledgeofstructuredmethodologiesforthedevelopment,design,implementationandmaintenanceofapplicationsKnowledgeandexperienceintheuseofComputerAidedSoftwareEngineering(CASE)toolsanddataquerytoolstoaidinthedevelopmentoftestcases

- KnowledgeandexperienceintheuseofautomatedtesttoolsandversioncontrolsystemsononeormoreplatformsExperienceexecutingfunctionaltests,non-functionaltestsandsystemslevelintegrationtests

- ExperiencesupportinguseracceptancetestingandparticipatinginUATactivities

- Experiencewithqualityassuranceprinciples,practices,toolsandstructuredmethodologies





- Experiencecreatingtestingstrategydocumentation,testplans,testcasesandtestdataforvarioustypesandphasesoftesting,includingtechnicalandbusinessfunctionalvalidation

- Experienceinqualityassuranceandtesting,includingunittesting,integrationtesting,loadtesting,performancetesting,etc.

- KnowledgeandexperienceinallphasesoftheSystemsDevelopmentLifeCycleExcellentanalytical,problem-solvinganddecision-makingskills

- Organizational,creativityandperseveranceskills;verbalandwrittencommunicationskills;andinterpersonalskills

- Ateamplayerwithatrackrecordformeetingdeadlines

- Knowledgeofoneormoreautomatedtestingtools

- DesirableSkills:Knowledgeandexperienceinatleastoneprogramminglanguage

- ExperienceintheuseofinformationretrievalpackagesKnowledgeandunderstandingoftestingmethodsinanobject-orientedenvironment

- KnowledgeandunderstandingofInformation

- Managementprinciples,concepts,policiesandpractices.

- KnowledgeandunderstandingofAccessibilityforOntarianswithDisabilityAct(AODA)andrelatedregulationsandstandards

- Experienceplanningandorganizingtestingeffortsforbothlargeandsmallsystems

- ExperiencecodingautomatedtestscriptstoproducesetsofautomatedtestcasesExperiencetestingCommercialOff-theShelfApplications(COTS)

Requirements

- Recent(withinlastyear)experienceinsystemstesting.(mostly manual)

- Excellentknowledgeofsystemtestingmethodology,executesystemanduseracceptancetests.

- Abilitytounderstandandanalyzebusinessrequirements,andsystemsresponsedocuments,todesignandexecutetestplanstoensurethesystemfunctionsandmeetsthebusinessrequirements.

- Continuous,significantexperienceasatesterinanWebShpere,Oracle,Javaenvironment.

- SignificantexperiencewithSFTS,WebShpere,Javastack,SQLandJCL.
