Senior Mechanical Engineer - Energy & Resources

Primary Responsibilities

- Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs;
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams, produce and sign off deliverables;
- Work with the Department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with recent and/or existing clients;
- Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates;
- Coach, guide and mentor junior engineers on the team;
- Collaboratively support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge & resources;
- Provide expertise in Capital and Operating projects;
- Ensuring compliance to Health & Safety, as well as all other regulations & policies;
- Development & implementation of budgets;
- Partake in site surveys;

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- 8+ years of engineering design experience within mining, heavy industrial or related industries;
- Proven organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills;
- Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, self-motivate, and adapt to change;
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels;
- Experience with metal / mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems and/or pressure vessels is considered a plus.

Compensation for this role is therefore based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, while maintaining internal equity. The level and associated salary may vary depending on the candidate’s profile.
