Role Description

The Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position located in Minitonas, MB. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess curriculum-aligned lessons that meet diverse student needs in a classroom setting. Daily responsibilities include creating inclusive learning environments, managing classroom routines, supporting student behavior and engagement, and providing timely feedback and assessment. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, families,



and support staff to promote student well‑being and success, and will participate in school initiatives, professional development, and division‑wide programs. The role also involves integrating technology where appropriate, maintaining accurate records, and upholding SVSD policies and standards.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Education and Teaching, with demonstrated ability to deliver curriculum-aligned instruction.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training to design structured, engaging, and differentiated learning experiences.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting effectively with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Relevant teaching certification and eligibility to teach in Manitoba.
- Experience or interest in working with rural and diverse student populations.
- Ability to integrate digital tools to support learning and assessment.
- Commitment to inclusive practices, cultural responsiveness, and student-centered learning.
