As a key member of the ACERT, the Registered Nurse provides comprehensive crisis management, risk assessment, and care coordination. Collaborating with the Emergency Mental Health Assessment and Care team, you'll help ensure effective care delivery, patient safety, and effective transitions to inpatient services. Continuous professional development and compliance with nursing standards are emphasized in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform crisis and psychosocial assessments for patients in distress
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams in emergency settings




• Perform medication administration and patient education
• Advocate for patient needs and support discharge processes
• Lead Code Whites and manage patient safety protocols
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Preferred degree: BScN or equivalent experience
• Experience in psychiatric nursing and crisis intervention
• Valid BCLS certification and ongoing training compliance
• Strong knowledge of mental health resources and legislation
