The Commercial Legal team delivers strategic legal advice, negotiates, drafts, and reviews commercial agreements, and supports policy development across a broad range of business functions, including Sourcing, Product Innovation, Sustainability, Global Fulfillment, Retail Operations, Strategic Sales, Corporate Development, Procurement, Finance, and Real Estate.
Core responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, both independently and in support of Legal Counsel(s), and manage contract lifecycle activities including amendments, renewals, terminations, and record management.
- Conduct legal research and analyze laws, regulations, and industry developments relevant to the business.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of contract templates, guidance documents, and legal resources.
- Provide practical, risk‑based legal guidance on routine business questions, escalating novel, complex, or higher‑risk issues as appropriate.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to facilitate timely legal support and contract execution.
- Contribute to projects and process improvements that promote efficiency, consistency, and risk management.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, curiosity, and learning agility, including the ability to identify when to elevate issues, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt to new subject areas.
Qualifications
- J.D. or LLB from a recognized university and current member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia or another Canadian jurisdiction.
- 2‑4 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, ideally with exposure to commercial contracts, business clients, or in‑house legal work.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and supporting negotiation of commercial agreements.
- Strong attention to detail, legal judgment, organization, and follow‑through.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and identify when to elevate issues.
- Clear and practical communicator who can build trust with business partners and legal colleagues.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new areas of law and business.

Compensation and benefits package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $111,200 – $146,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
