This strategic role operates across provincial and regional portfolios, overseeing end-to-end processes with a focus on ensuring a consistent and positive client experience. Working collaboratively with teams across the organization, the position identifies and advances key strategic opportunities that improve operational performance and organizational effectiveness. Leveraging deep subject matter expertise, the successful candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and support on complex initiatives while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and investment in organizational growth.

Title: Director, Operational Improvement -Internal only

Salary: $128,851 - $144,010 - $174,328 per year (pay range explained below)

8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Metro Vancouver office- located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil- Waututh Nations (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About The Role

As the Director, Operational Improvement you will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director, Operational Improvement leads organization-wide quality improvement and operational transformation initiatives that strengthen FNHA’s effectiveness, sustainability, and impact. This role is accountable for embedding operational excellence, continuous quality improvement (CQI), and Lean-based practices across clinical, corporate, and community-facing functions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have;

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)

- Master’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of recent and relevant progressive leadership experience, ideally within healthcare, public health, or complex service organizations.
- Formal certification in quality improvement, process excellence, change management, and project management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, IHI Improvement Advisor, Prosci, PMP).




- Successfully has led organization-wide quality improvement and change initiatives.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
