What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the design and project management of municipal infrastructure projects (roads, water, wastewater, stormwater) from planning through construction
- Taking responsibility for design, including signing and sealing reports and drawings for municipal infrastructure projects
- Working alongside the current management team with an active leadership role within the design team
- Supporting proposal development, business development, and client management activities to grow the group’s presence and reputation
- Coaching and guiding junior and intermediate team members through day‑to‑day collaboration
- Collaborating across disciplines and offices to deliver smart, community‑focused solutions
- Representing Burnside as a senior client contact, especially with municipalities and other public sector clients in the region

Success Metrics

- Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects including roads, water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
- Provide hands‑on design expertise while overseeing project delivery from proposal through construction
- Coordinate and be responsible for the designs and workload of staff on the Collingwood Municipal Infrastructure team to support the Manager of Municipal Infrastructure
- Mentor junior and intermediate team members, fostering growth and technical excellence
- Review designs and drawings produced by others as part of Quality Control and Assurance initiatives
- Support preparation of tender specifications




- Build and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with municipalities and local government staff
- Drive project delivery excellence and identify growth opportunities for the Collingwood office

Qualifications

- 7+ years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, preferably in Ontario
- Strong project management and client‑facing skills
- Desire to grow into a team leadership role, with mentorship and succession planning in place; someone who takes initiative, builds trust, and inspires collaboration

Salary Range

$135,000 - $165,000 (final compensation based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions)
