Position

- Lead a wide variety of programs including traditional OT intervention and assessments (Veterans, WSIB, Federal and Provincial Government, MVA).
- Working towards the goal of successfully returning ill workers to their previous or alternative employment positions
- Apply organizational and decision-making skills to manage a time constraint caseload
- Establish and maintain collaborative, professional relationships with various stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and community health care providers
- Develop intervention programs to address clients' needs related to function in self-care, work and leisure activities
- Maintain clients records

Requirements

- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)




- Professional Liability Insurance
- 3-5 years experience
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual (French & English) Oral and written an asset (English required)
- Experience working with complex trauma (PTSD) and/or with first responders an asset
- Understanding of legislation surrounding return to work, disability management, accommodation principles, organizational policies and sustainable work best practices is essential.
- Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Cognitive Assessments, Exposure Therapy and Behavioral Activation is an asset.
- Experience with Functional Capacity Evaluations, In-Home Assessment and Accident Benefits as asset.
