This is for one Regular Full-Time vacancy. This is a Hybrid position with occasional in-person work based in London, Ontario. The position is a critical replacement vacancy. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fanshawe College is advancing its digital transformation through the implementation of Workday, a modern cloud-based enterprise platform that is reshaping how we support our employees, finances, and future student services. The Workday Sustainment Team optimizes the platform, drives continuous improvement, and enables data‑informed decision‑making across the College. The Workday Reporting Specialist will play a critical part in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic planning, operational excellence, regulatory reporting, and institutional decision‑making.

Responsibilities

Report Configuration and Maintenance

- Design, build, test, and maintain custom and delivered reports in Workday HCM and Finance modules
- Create calculated fields, advanced reports, and dashboards to meet end‑user and integration requirements
- Ensure data accuracy, security compliance, and alignment with reporting standards
- Apply customer report design standards and report monitoring to ensure a consistent, trusted user experience and optimum report performance

Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Gathering

- Collaborate with key leadership and lead the enterprise reporting and analytics strategy
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document reporting needs
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Workday reports
- Educate users on self‑service reporting functionality where applicable
- Collaborate with Institutional Research or other departments as necessary to build enterprise‑wide business intelligence reporting capability

Data Integrity and Compliance

- Validate report data regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Support audit and compliance activities by delivering timely and reliable data
- Apply appropriate security roles and access levels for report users

System Optimization and Documentation

- Analyze and optimize existing reports for performance and usability




- Maintain documentation for reports, calculated fields, and reporting logic
- Stay current with Workday system updates and reporting enhancements

Future System Expansion

- Participate in planning and implementing reporting functionality for the Workday Student (SIS) module or any future module to be implemented
- Adapt reporting solutions to support evolving organizational needs and systems

Continuous Learning and External Engagement

- Stay current with Workday releases and new reporting tools that can enhance the organization’s reporting capabilities
- Understand evolving business data analysis needs and proactively recommend solutions
- Engage with the Workday Community and other user groups to explore innovative solutions, gather best practices, and support troubleshooting efforts

Other Duties as Assigned

Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Workday Sustainment as required.

Qualifications

- Post‑secondary four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field with an emphasis on ERP systems or related discipline; a combination of equivalent education and/or experience will also be considered
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with at least three (3) years of experience designing and maintaining reports in Workday, specifically in HCM, Finance, and/or Student Information System (SIS) modules
- Demonstrated experience using Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields and Composite Reports
- Experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Cloud Connectors, RaaS and BIRT reporting
- Exposure to Student Information Systems (Workday or equivalent) is desirable or a willingness to grow in this area
- Sound understanding of integration security groups and policies
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex third‑party integrations, EIBs ensuring source‑to‑target data movement is efficient with data integrity
- Experience consulting with technical and non‑technical teams to shape reporting and integration build/maintain requests




- Experience working with cross‑functional teams in a collaborative environment
- Experience working in a large, multi‑department organization
- Experience in a unionized working environment would be an asset
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and statistical ability
- Comprehensive knowledge of business analysis relating to ERP
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Highly developed skills in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of management and stakeholders, team orientated, and ability to build consensus
- Solution oriented and outcome focused
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and business presentations
- Ability to build relationships, including active participation in the Workday Community and relevant forums to enhance best practices
