Position

Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer

Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick or Halifax, Nova Scotia

Department: Transportation Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and participate in bridge and roadway structure condition assessments.
- Plan and develop schematic/geometric layouts for new structures.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations in compliance with Canadian design codes.
- Utilize advanced software tools such as STAAD, Altair Suite, and StructurePoint Suite for structural design.
- Collaborate with drafting teams to prepare construction drawings and details.
- Conduct material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and life‑cycle analyses.
- Assist in preparing construction specifications and design briefs.
- Support construction administration, including shop drawing reviews and RFIs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in bridge design and evaluation.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in a Canadian province,



with intent to register in New Brunswick (mandatory).
- Experience with OSIM bridge inspections or similar standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
