This non-exempt position revolves around enhancing communication between students, educators, and peers. Your strong foundation in interpreting services, as well as your dedication to fostering student independence, is essential. Communicating effectively within qualified standards ensures a respectful and supportive educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret/transliterate messages from speaker to students
• Participate in classroom discussions and school events
• Uphold confidentiality in all interpreting tasks
• Prepare special vocabulary for upcoming lessons




• Guide students toward self-sufficiency in learning

Requirements:
• Virginia Quality Assurance Level III or comparable certification
• Considerable knowledge of interpreting practices
• Excellent communication abilities with various audiences
• Eagerness for continuous professional education
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards in role
