DISTRICT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
START: November 13, 2025 DEADLINE: Open until filled ASSIGNMENT: 0.50 FTE position

The school district encompasses five municipalities, including the Districts of Fort St. James and Vanderhoof and the Villages of Fraser Lake, Burns Lake and Granisle. The Position
The Occupational Therapist will be a member of the district's Inclusive Education Team and work under the supervision of the District Principal of Inclusive Education.
Typical Duties
Integrates best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff and the members of the interdisciplinary team using oral, written and computer communication means.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data from multiple sources to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities.
Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of client care.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Academic/Work Experience Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Eligible for or member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Excellent planning, organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
Ability to initiate change and carry out plans to completion.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Budget management.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Position requires bending, kneeling and the capability to lift 40 lbs.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and videoconferencing platforms.
Compensation
Current annual salary grid is $60,648.00 to $114,735.00 + the current provincial recruitment and retention allowance.
Moving reimbursement.
Recruitment & retention monthly allowance.
