Reporting to the Manager of External Reporting and Research, the position demands expertise in preparing key financial documents, addressing complex accounting issues, and supporting internal/external audits. You'll ensure compliance with IFRS standards and lead the implementation of new accounting pronouncements that impact the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and prepare financial statements and MD&A;
• Review and assist in disclosure document preparation
• Coordinate regulatory filings with the legal department
• Provide guidance on recent accounting regulations
• Manage audit requests and resolution of inquiries
Requirements:
• CPA or equivalent must be completed
• 8+ years of industry-specific accounting experience
• Proficient understanding of IFRS and GAAP
• Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills required
