Data Engineer – Databricks (Mining Operations)
We are seeking a Data Engineer to maintain and enhance existing data pipelines that ingest data from mining operation source systems across South America and load it into Databricks. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, reliable data delivery to support self-service analytics across business teams. You will work closely with stakeholders in South America, contributing to scalable data solutions that drive operational insights.
Spanish language skills are a strong plus due to regular collaboration with regional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and enhance existing data pipelines
Develop and optimize data ingestion processes from operational source systems
Ensure data availability and quality within Databricks for downstream consumption
Enable and support self-service data access for business users
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across South America
Improve pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance

dbt (Data Build Tool)
Delta Lake
Data pipeline orchestration (e.g., workflows, schedulers)
Nice to Have
Performance optimization in Databricks environments
Python / PySpark
Spanish language proficiency
The pay range that the employer in valuable faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.88/hour - $54.50/hour.
