Description
We will work with dbrand's Creative and Marketing teams to create compelling, immersive video content for our online following.

The Responsibilities and Qualifications
Core Responsibilities:
Shoot and edit video projects to specified briefs with minimal supervision.
Maintain and organize video gear in our shared studio space.
Collaborate with teams to produce content as needed.
Work primarily on location at the Creative studio with occasional WFH days.
Pre‑Production:
Turn briefs and scripts into storyboards, shotlists, and shooting schedules.
Source and purchase props.
Scout and secure shooting locations.
Facilitate rental or purchase of production equipment.
Coordinate shooting schedules.
Production:
Light scenes appropriately.
Capture audio with monitored levels.
Capture video from the appropriate camera system.
Perform art direction on own shoots.
Backup and organize footage before leaving set.
Maintain gear during and after shoots.
Post‑Production:
Edit from selects to fine cut.
Perform basic grading and mastering.
Perform basic sound editing and mixing.
Hand off advanced work to specialists.
Creative Contribution (Optional):
Pitch new video ideas and contribute to marketing campaigns.
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of experience (freelance or film‑school work counts).
Driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
Proficiency with skilled camera systems (Blackmagic, Canon, Sony, RED, etc.).
Experience with lenses and support kit (probe lenses, sliders, follow focus, etc.).
Knowledge of modern lighting systems (Kino Flo, Aputure, Astera).
Understanding of film, video, and photography lighting and grip gear.
Proficiency in audio capture (Rode, Sennheiser, Zoom) and level monitoring.
Adobe Suite core competency: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Working knowledge of color correction (Lumetri, Colorista, DaVinci Resolve).
Familiarity with cinematic, commercial, and social-media cutting techniques.
Comfort with codecs, compression, aspect ratios, and footage organization.
Basic motion graphics, titling, captioning, and transitions.
Art director or stylist ability on own projects.
Flawless English communication skills.
Bonus: working knowledge of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D.

The role offers a salary of $80,000–$100,000 per year plus health, dental, vision, profit‑sharing, and GRSP benefits. It is a hybrid position based primarily in the Toronto Creative space, with occasional remote work.
