English Language Arts Position - Hiring two positions, Sault Area Middle School
Position Type: Teaching/Teaching – General
This position requires a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with BA or BX endorsement, 6-12. Job Goal: Elevate the academic, career, college and social/emotional skills of students.
Teaches skills, knowledge and attitudes using the course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities; establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for a productive learning setting during class sessions and field trips; evaluates each pupil's growth in knowledge, skills and attitudes in the course being taught; maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and self-selected professional growth activities; identifies pupils’ needs, and cooperates with other professional staff members in helping deal with pupils’ attitude and learning problems. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs; cooperates with school administration in providing displays and programs for parents, school and community, and in sponsoring activities, communicates with parents and school personnel on pupil progress; and participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities.
