Family Law Clerk (2+ Years) – On‑Site (Midtown Toronto)
Our client, a reputable family law firm located in Midtown Toronto, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Clerk to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with hands‑on family law experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft family law documents including applications, motions, affidavits, financial statements, and briefs

Assist with case management, including organizing disclosure and maintaining both physical and electronic files

Coordinate court filings through relevant portals (e.g., Family Submissions Online) and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines

Manage calendars, schedule client meetings, mediations, and court appearances

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff regarding file status and procedural matters

Assist lawyers with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, summaries, and briefs

Review and organize financial disclosure and support calculations

Conduct basic legal research and assist with document production





Track limitation periods, deadlines, and ensure timely progression of files

Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or certificate from a recognized Law Clerk or Legal Assistant program

Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Family Law Clerk in a law firm setting

Strong understanding of Ontario family law procedures and court rules

Experience with document drafting, financial disclosure, and court filings

Familiarity with software such as DivorceMate, CaseLines, and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
