Job Summary

Our team is growing. You will report to the Rotating and Reliability Supervisor within the Maintenance department. The Rotating Engineer is responsible for providing machinery engineering and field support for the Courtright manufacturing site, undertaking ownership of rotating equipment to optimize performance, and working closely with capital project and maintenance teams to provide technical direction and guidance regarding safe design and mechanical integrity to drive reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

- Actively support and participate in all Workplace, Health and Safety initiatives and activities; promote EH&S; programs and ensure compliance within the Rotating and Reliability group.
- Critically review design details to ensure proposed equipment meets process requirements and provides a high level of reliability.
- Perform technical evaluations of existing equipment, monitoring performance, investigating problems, and recommending improvements; lead machinery repairs and overhauls.
- Provide advice on machinery performance, overhaul frequency, planning, and work standards.
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contacts both inside and outside the company to maintain effective project execution for major capital improvement projects.
- Support and actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives through teamwork, and apply Quality Planning and Improvement principles to routine duties.




- Coordinate and effectively communicate with the Engineering and Maintenance Departments to promote teamwork and enhance project development and execution.

Qualifications

- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with P.Eng designation, minimum 5‑10 years’ experience related to Rotating Equipment engineering in an industrial plant, with in‑depth knowledge of compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), pumps, fans/blowers, large industrial motors, and steam turbines. Mechanical exposure in a continuous chemical production or refinery environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of Rotating Equipment Standards (API 610, 611, 617, 682, 687, etc.).
- Commitment to process safety as a core corporate value, responsibility, and accountability.

Salary

Estimated base pay typically ranges between $121,700.00 and $152,700.00.
