We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grower Assistant to support our horticultural operations. Duties
Assist with irrigation setup, monitoring, and adjustments to ensure optimal watering schedules for plants
Support horticultural practices including planting, pruning, and pest management
Operate basic mechanical tools and equipment used in plant cultivation and maintenance
Use hand tools to perform tasks such as trimming, staking, or harvesting plants
Conduct routine inspections of plants for signs of disease or deficiencies and report findings
Assist with the setup and maintenance of growing systems, including climate controls
Perform heavy lifting of supplies, soil, or plants as needed to support daily operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grow area to promote a safe working workplace
Support team members in implementing new gardening techniques or system upgrades
Skills
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and horticultural practices
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
Robust understanding of gardening principles and plant care techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as part of routine tasks
Basic math skills for measuring soil amendments, water volumes, or adjusting system settings
Familiarity with gardening equipment and tools is a plus
Good physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining plant health records and schedules
