We're looking for motivated team players who enjoy the outdoors and working with the community to help with the set-up and tear-down of the Waterdown Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings (every Saturday or alternating Saturdays pending availability and schedules). There are also occasional casual hours available to support other community events and programs supporting the Waterdown Village Business Improvement Area (BIA).
Responsibilities include assisting with set-up and tear down at Market and events (tents, tables, signage, promotional materials, etc) as well as interfacing with the public, answering questions and being ambassadors for Waterdown Village, farmers, vendors and the business community. There may also be a need for directing traffic, answering questions and managing capacity of the Market. Occasionally staff will be required to operate and oversee a kids' activity area.
Candidates must be willing to working early mornings, and weekends. There are some physical requirements of the job - candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. We're looking for self-starters, crew members who see what needs to happen and get it done. Service and hospitality-driven attitude. CPR training is a plus.
Job Types: Part time, Casual, Seasonal
Pay: $16.60-$17.60 per hour
