Position Summary The Safety Qualified is responsible for overseeing Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H;), and Risk Management. This includes managing multiple Safety programs, developing and implementing site-specific safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management on Operational Risk Management (ORM). The role requires providing practical solutions to complex problems, with 20% travel.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate with General Contractor (GC) and/or owner regarding site conditions and Non-Compliance Notices (NCN).
Participate in meetings with clients, project teams, and contractors to advise on mitigation plans, S&H; training, and technical reports.
Assist in developing and implementing Site Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans.
Manage site safety budgets, permits, and ensure compliance with contracts and plans.
Lead ORM team in reviewing and developing safety plans based on project and regulatory requirements; conduct incident investigations.
Maintain knowledge of safety standards, regulations,
and best practices, including OSHA, DOT, insurance audits, and emergency plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint.
Candidate Requirements 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience in S&H; training, regulatory compliance (1910, 1926, EM-385 1-1).
Knowledge of Safety Management Systems, ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000.
Strong culture-building skills.
OSHA 500/502 Trainer Certification or degree in Occupational Safety from an ABET-accredited program.
Willingness to pursue ASP, CSP, CHST certifications.
Previous experience in electrical, construction, industrial, federal, or commercial S&H.;
