The Opportunity

The ERP Program at Nova Scotia Power is seeking a Training Lead to oversee the development and execution of end-user training for a large-scale enterprise system transformation. Reporting to the Change Manager, the Training Lead will manage a small training team, including Training Specialists, and collaborate closely with business units, subject matter experts, and program leadership.

This role is ideal for a strategic training professional with experience leading training initiatives in complex project environments, particularly ERP or enterprise-wide system implementations.

Key Elements Of This Role Include

Developing the ERP training strategy, ensuring alignment with overall change management and business readiness plans.
Leading the design of scalable training approaches across diverse business areas and user groups.
Defining training success metrics and reporting processes to assess adoption and effectiveness.
Building and managing a small training team, including coaching and supporting the Training Specialists.
Engaging functional leads to ensure training content and delivery methods align with operational needs.
Partnering with third party vendors to develop the training governance structure (e.g., standards, templates, version control protocols).
Identifying and mitigating training-related risks, issues, and interdependencies.
Leading training readiness reviews and reporting on progress to the Change Manager.

These Skills Will Make You Successful





Degree or diploma in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field
7+ years of experience designing and delivering training within large programs or transformation initiatives
Experience leading training workstreams within ERP or enterprise technology implementations
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders across all levels of an organization
Strong communication, training, and coaching skills
Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Proficiency with training development tools and platforms (e.g., MS Office, eLearning authoring tools, LMS platforms)
Knowledge of utilities, SAP, or large-scale transformation projects considered an asset
