The Lazaridis

School of Business & Economics in Waterloo is seeking two tenure-track professors to start on July 1, 2027, pending budget approval. A Ph.D. in Finance or Economics is preferred, with ABD candidates considered. Successful applicants will demonstrate research potential and effective teaching abilities at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Key Responsibilities:
Publish in top-tier finance journals and present research at leading conferences
Maintain a productive research agenda with solid outcomes




Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses across disciplines
Communicate research relevance to business audiences
Engage in academic service and mentorship within the school Requirements:
Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
Solid research record with publication potential
Effective teaching experience at various academic levels
Ability to connect research with real-world finance scenarios
