Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar PV / Glazing Installer for a short-term contract to join our dynamic installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic solar panels and glazing systems on a commercial project. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
Install solar PV panels, racking, and mounting hardware as part of a pergola structure
Install glazing components as part of the structure
Work safely at height, following fall protection protocols
Coordinate with the site crew and project lead to meet the installation schedule
Ensure work meets code and manufacturer specifications

Requirements
Experience installing solar PV systems (racking, panels, wiring)
Experience with glazing installation




Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble, secure, and finish glazing and PV components.
Valid fall protection / working at heights certification
Comfortable working on an active downtown Ottawa job site
Ottawa-based or able to work locally without travel support preferred
Reliability Status security clearance preferred — this is a federal government building. Impact Energy can sponsor clearance processing for the right candidate given the project timeline, though this may extend onboarding.
