CAAN Communities, Alliances & Networks is hiring a temporary Harm Reduction Coordinator to work remotely. Engage with Indigenous communities in Canada, focusing on research and education for harm reduction. This position requires solid leadership and community consultation skills, with an emphasis on Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Doing.
You will collaborate with other service providers, develop educational materials, and contribute to the understanding of harm reduction's role in HIV and AIDS responses. This impactful role allows you to make a difference across Canada. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reports and collaborate on evaluations
Develop asset maps for harm reduction resources
Coordinate harm reduction workshops and trainings
Actively participate in community meetings
Create databases for tracking program delivery Requirements:
Education or experience in a relevant field
Understanding of Indigenous practices and harm reduction
Solid oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle planning and administrative tasks
Experience working with diverse Indigenous communities Utilize your expertise in harm reduction and Indigenous knowledge to support CAAN’s mission.
