Duties
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness
Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the road and at loading sites
Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck operated
Proven experience in driving large trucks or commercial vehicles
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning
Excellent communication skills and a qualified attitude on the road
Ability to stay alert during long hours of driving and handle demanding physical tasks with ease
