Lipsett Cartage is a well-established and safety-driven transportation company operating a fleet of 60 flatdeck trailers (Super B & Triaxle) and 18 company trucks. Our in-house maintenance team is essential to keeping our equipment road-ready and compliant. We're looking for a reliable and skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary

As a Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment in a clean, well-equipped shop. The position involves rotating on-call duties, with a steady weekday schedule and no regular overtime.

Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on trucks and flatdeck trailers
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Troubleshoot electrical, air brake, and hydraulic systems
Complete and maintain service records to meet compliance standards
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support fleet uptime

Qualifications




Journeyperson or Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic preferred (Apprentices considered)
Hands-on experience with flatdeck trailers and Class 8 trucks
SGI Vehicle Safety Technician certification is a robust asset
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Safety-focused with a solid work ethic
Valid driver’s license (Class 1A considered an asset)
Previous welding experience is a solid asset and will be considered a key advantage for this role
