Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Sushi Mura Oak Hiring Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Duties
Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to detail and presentation standards
Supervise and train kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques, food handling, and safety protocols
Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring productive workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
Oversee food quality control, ensuring consistency in taste, appearance, and freshness
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and storage areas
Collaborate with restaurant management to plan menus, monitor inventory levels,



and order supplies
Lead by example in practicing proper food handling, sanitation, and hospitality standards during serving hours

Skills
Proven experience in sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine cooking techniques
Supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Excellent team management and leadership skills to motivate staff effectively
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Solid understanding of restaurant operations and food industry best practices
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
