Role Overview Technical Director of Environmental Impact Assessment responsible for leading the portfolio of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) across diverse sectors including nuclear power, electricity transmission, renewable energy, and other energy and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities Provide expert guidance and direction on Environmental Impact Assessments for multi‑disciplinary projects.

Develop regulatory roadmaps, environmental permit plans, and monitoring programs to ensure compliance and sustainability.

Conduct strategic technical leadership and quality reviews of EIAs and supporting documentation.

Consult with regulators, clients, Indigenous communities, the general public, and other stakeholders to foster robust relationships and innovative engagement programs.

Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and supporting proposals.

Mentor junior and intermediate staff, promoting growth and knowledge sharing.

Guide regulatory processes and advise clients, supporting stakeholder engagement for projects.

Leverage expertise in Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act and/or the federal Impact Assessment Act to deliver innovative solutions.





Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies, planning, science, or engineering.

15+ years of experience managing EIAs and navigating regulatory processes in Ontario or across Canada.

Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi‑disciplinary teams while providing guidance and mentorship.

Understanding of consulting processes and tools with strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

Experience with business development, winning work and proposal writing.

Strong experience working with Ontario and federal regulatory and permitting processes.

Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $159,300 – $211,000

MB & ON: $145,300 – $200,100

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $143,900 – $191,100
